Work Experience
Since mid-April I have obtained a part time position at Mcdonalds as an order taker and runner. I usually work shifts on Saturday and ocassionaly on Tuesday or Thursday. Working there has taught me a number of very important skills I feel everyone should have at one point in there life. I think the main skill that has been strenthened over the months is my social and interpersonal skills. As one could imagine, Mcdonald’s attracts some very pushy costumers who don’t want to waste any time, money, or deal with unfriendly workers. So as you can tell, for this job I have to be on my best behaviour. Being friendly results in patience from the costumer and good social skills results in quick order taking. Another component of working at Mcdonalds is dealing with money. Dealing with change has taught and strenghtened my math skills in general. Poor math skills result in unhappy costumers which is high priority at Mcdonalds.
