Healthy Eating Habits!
Ever since I went digging through my garage only to find my old orange juicer, I have been having a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice every day.As most of you know oranges are one of the most popular citrus fruits in the world. Their bright color, tangy flavour and high quantity of nutrition and minerals make them a very refreshing beverage that is often associated with breakfast. These vitamin packed, juicy fleshed fruit are available year round in many different varieties which make them a healthy affordable addition to any meal.
Although squeezing oranges every morning can become a tedious task, in my opinion it is totally worth it. Oranges are packed with excellent portions of vitamin C, a healthful water-soluble antioxidant and it can also be noted that they increase iron absorption within the body, helping prevent iron deficiencies. I have also researched and found out that drinking orange juice (versus eating the fruit) allows for quick absorption of greater amounts of nutrients, because digestion is relatively unnecessary, confirming that drinking a glass of orange juice every morning is a great way to start the day.
