Today I made ginger snap cookies for foods credit. To spice things up, pun intended, I added my own blend of spices to the recipe a little more original. The recipe called for cinnamon, ground cloves, and ground ginger. I added only a pinch of cinnamon, extra ground cloves and chives. On top of all this I added a mixture of nutmeg and cardamom to give it more of an edgy flavour. For decoration and flavour I added a little piece of candied ginger on the top of the cookies. Next time when I use this recipe I might add more cinnamon and replace all the other spices with cardamom to turn the whole recipe into a chai cookie recipe. All in all I’d give this particular recipe a 8 out of 10, and I would recommend it to others.
